Ashlesha has completed BSc with majors of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; honours in Physics, MSc in Medical Physics.

Ashlesha is a PhD student in Medical Physics. Her primary research focus is on optimising radiotherapy treatment for lung cancer. This involves conducting dosimetric evaluation for treatment machines, including linear accelerator (Linac), CyberKnife and MR-Linac using novel phantoms constructed through additive manufacturing (AM) techniques.
