Personal profile

Biography

I am an Agricultural and Environmental Economist who is interested in natural resource management and policy. I have been working as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Centre for Environmental Economics and Policy, School of Agriculture and Environment, University of Western Australia since 2017. 

I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Western Australia in 2016. For my thesis, I analysed a range of policy options to manage water pollution in an industrialised and urbanised river catchment using an integrated hydro-economic model. Before moving to Australia I worked as a Researcher in a leading policy research institute in Sri Lanka (Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka) for almost 10 years.
