Machine Learning methods to correct spectral ocean wave forecasts
I am a French electrical engineer with a specialization in applied mathematics and data science. My PhD focused on the intersection between variational data assimilation and deep learning, with applications in numerical weather forecasting. My research interests revolve around physics inverse problems and machine learning from undersampled measurements. I enjoy translating state-of-the-art data science methods to make them applicable in a weather forecasting context, and I intend to contribute to the improvement of ocean wave forecasts in Western Australia under the supervision of Jeff Hansen.
