Biography

Arnold is a Senior Lecturer in the Business School at University of Western Australia. He joined the Business School in 2018. He completed his PhD at Oxford Brookes University fully funded under the PhD studentship scheme. He was previously a Lecturer at several Universities in Indonesia (i.e., Tarumanagara University, University of Indonesia and Gadjah Mada University). While in Tarumanagara University, he also served as the Director of Relations Office. He also has consulting experience with several clients (e.g., Brand Alliance, Influential Brands, DTZ, Cheil-Samsung).

Arnold is passionate about brand management, relationship marketing, consumer psychology, and consumer behaviour, particularly in retailing, hospitality and tourism sector. He is also enthusiastic on how technologies are affecting human’s lives. He is currently involved in several ongoing projects including the role of new technologies (e.g., AI, AR, VR) in shaping and developing customer experience, the development and management of digital innovation among senior managers, the factors that influence customer engagement within e-commerce mobile apps, and the role of transactive memory toward innovation and performance within the Fintech sector.
