I launched the UWA Spanish Major in 2017 and the UWA Spanish Minor in 2020. I have designed all of the Spanish units available at UWA, and I teach and coordinate many of them every semester. Currently, these are the only Major and Minor available to students in Western Australia.
I am the UWA Director of Graduate Translation Studies and I teach and coordinate several units of the Master of Translation Studies and Graduate Certificate in Translation Studies, which are offered across eight different languages.
I teach by implementing an innovative research-driven approach and creating networks among UWA and other national and international universities, and between UWA and the wider Western Australian community.
I have been at UWA since 2011 and my main areas of interest are Translation Studies and Second Language Teaching.

I have translated activities into Spanish, used them in my lessons at UWA and studying the results of different implementations. There is a peer-reviewed article on the (2018). A new implementation and a comparison with Italian trials has been studied and is going to be published imminently (2022).
TRANS: I have been working on translating as many different genres as possible to offer more to my students.
