Personal profile
Biography
I teach a range of undergraduate philosophy units at UWA, including Philosophy of Religion (PHIL2003), Aesthetics (PHIL3002), and - with Nin Kirkham - Continental Philosophy (PHIL3005).
My philosophical interests are broad. I have published work on thinkers including Friedrich Nietzsche, J.M. Keynes, Henry Miller, and Susan Sontag. I have forthcoming work on Stanley Cavell and Anaïs Nin, and a work in progress on Louis Armstrong.
I encourage contact from prospective research students. I have supervised Honours dissertations on a wide range of philosophical topics. I am also involved in cross-disciplinary research and have co-supervised Honours projects in both History and Fine Art.
