Personal profile

Biography

I’m passionate about relating protein structure to function and using this information to: (1) better understand how life functions at a molecular level, and (2) inform the design of new molecules to address medical or technological problems.

I have had the privilege of working on a wide variety of proteins, ranging from microbial enzymes to mammalian nucleic acid binding proteins; gaining expertise in recombinant protein purification, studying protein liquid-liquid phase separation, X-ray crystallography and other biochemical and biophysical techniques.
