Biography
My primary interest as an academic is my passion for teaching. Though I also love research, I take issue with modern journal academia as an institution, and believe its structure undermines research. I received a PhD from UWA in 2023 after a long period as a student, also receiving a BSc in Physics and Honours in CS. While pursuing my PhD I also worked as a programmer with the Gravitational Wave Data Analysis team at UWA and did five software engineering internships with Google. I am a big supporter of collaborative learning and have been involved in competitive programming including co-founding the UWA Programming Competition Society as a student.
