Name:                             Dr. Andreas Gerhard Mueller

1973-1979: Study of geology at the Goethe University Frankfurt, and of mining geology at the Technical University of Clausthal, Germany. Diploma thesis: Anderson mine uranium deposit, Arizona. Structural mapping: Meggen Zn-Pb-Ba mine, Germany.

 

1981: St.Joe Explorations GmbH, Germany, Project Geologist for exploration drilling targeting “Kupferschiefer” stratabound Cu-Ag deposits.

 

1982-1984: Schlumberger Middle East S.A., Abu Dhabi, Senior Field Engineer, drill hole geophysical logging and wire-line services, oil and gas fields offshore the United Arab Emirates.

 

1985-1990: Ph.D. study in economic geology at the University of Western Australia, Perth. Ph.D. thesis: Archaean gold deposits in the Yilgarn Craton, emphasis on gold skarns.

 

1990-1991: Consultant on gold deposits for Placer Pacific Ltd., Australia.

 

1992-1994: Postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, California, financed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) in Germany. Subject of study: Big Bell gold deposit, Western Australia.

 

1995-2018: Consultant on gold deposits to various mining companies based in Perth, mainly to Placer Dome Asia Pacific, retirement in December 2018.

 

2013-2021 UWA adjunct: Adjunct Research Fellow to the Centre for Exploration Targeting, School of Earth Sciences, the University of Western Australia. Adjunct status granted from 16 July 2013 to 31 July 2021.
