Biography

Dr Andrea McKivett is a Gija medical education academic from the Kimberley in Western Australia. Andrea graduated from medicine in 2011 and went on to complete a Masters in Aboriginal health in 2016 at UWA. Andrea's research interests include communication skills, Indigenous medical education, Indigenous governance and qualitative research. Andrea completed a PhD in Indigenous medical education in 2022 at the University of Adelaide. Andrea has worked as a medical educator, public health educator and researcher at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle, the University of Adelaide and Flinders University.
