Personal profile

Amelia completed her PhD at the University of Western Australia, School of Medicine and Pharmacology. Her PhD which was awarded a distinction identified novel signalling pathways in human lung fibroblasts. She is a recipient of an International Marie-Curie post-doctoral fellowship. Amelia worked in the Netherlands for a Biotechnology Company, BioFocusDPI on a large scale drug discovery program which identified novel drug targets to treat cystic fibrosis. She later worked as a Scientific Advisor for BioFocusDPI and is now working as the UWA Postdoctoral Coordinator.

Roles and responsibilities

Amelia's role as Postdoctoral Coordinator involves implementing a range of initiatives that support the professional an career development needs of Early Career Postdoctoral Researchers.

Fingerprint Fingerprint is based on mining the text of the person's scientific documents to create an index of weighted terms, which defines the key subjects of each individual researcher.
