Biography

Amelia completed her PhD at the University of Western Australia, School of Medicine and Pharmacology. Her PhD which was awarded a distinction identified novel signalling pathways in human lung fibroblasts. She is a recipient of an International Marie-Curie post-doctoral fellowship. Amelia worked in the Netherlands for a Biotechnology Company, BioFocusDPI on a large scale drug discovery program which identified novel drug targets to treat cystic fibrosis. She later worked as a Scientific Advisor for BioFocusDPI and is now working as the UWA Postdoctoral Coordinator.
