Biography

Amanda has over 20 years of experience working in education, with a significant portion of this in international education and schools.

Commencing her career in health insurance as the National Manager and WA State Manager for Allianz Global Assistance (formerly Worldcare Assist), she then spent six years in Homestay Management with the Australian Homestay Network (AHN).

She founded and managed AHN operations in WA and was also the Chief Executive Officer of AHN Australia, who is the licensed manager for the Australian Homestay Network in WA, SA, NSW, NT and Qld.  

In 2014, Amanda moved to form a part of the global Partnered Allianz Global Education (PAGE) team with Allianz Global Assistance, which helped to promote quality services to International students and promote Australia as a destination of choice for student mobility.  

In 2016, Amanda joined the Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) as Director, International, where she developed a system-wide international student recruitment and support arm of the ASC and also led the ASC Language School. She was also instrumental in the development of an online learning program for all ASC schools and the scoping of a systemised VET in Schools program to better support students in alternate pathways.

In 2022, Amanda moved into Higher Education, taking on the role of Associate Director, Academic Innovation and Business Development at The University of Western Australia. In 2023, she then took on the responsibility of leading a new portfolio at the University as the Director, Education Innovation and Enterprise. Amanda now leads the team which takes carriage of Employability and Career Development, Digital Development and Enhancement and Innovation and Business Development, including micro credentials and short courses, at UWA.

Amanda is a passionate manager who is well organised, experienced and knowledgeable within the business of delivering services to clients and customers.  

Amanda thrives on bringing innovation and new ideas to fruition through developing relationships, creating an agile environment and fostering a team approach to program development and execution.
