Personal profile

Research

My research is about soil science. I have been working on soil biology in terms of soil carbon and nitrogen cycling controlled by soil microbial community as well as soil chemistry in relationship to soil biological processes. My research has involved the priming effect on soil organic matter decomposition using 13C-labelling method, greenhouse gas emissions from soil following the addition of organic amendment (such as biochar fertilizers), as well as soil biological health following the application of organic wastes. Molecular techniques (such as qPCR and sequencing) have been utilized to aid the mechanistic studies in my research.
