Biography

Alissa is the Library Manager for Library Experience at The University of Western Australia. As a member of the University Library’s leadership team, Alissa is responsible for six unique library spaces receiving over 2 million visitors annually, as well as the delivery of library and student IT support services in the UWA libraries. Her particular interests include the development of strategies to increase client satisfaction through innovation, engagement, quality assessment and continuous improvement.

Alissa's past experience encompasses law librarianship in top tier law firms, a period at The British Library, and senior roles inside and outside of libraries at two of Australia’s research intensive “Group of Eight” universities, The University of Western Australia and The University of Melbourne.

Alissa's interests in engagement, quality and innovation in academic libraries have led to national and international conference presentations, papers and articles.
