Biography
Alison is pursing her Doctor of Philosophy and Master in Clinical Psychology in the School of Psychological Science at The University of Western Australia. Her PhD project is focused on the experiences, needs and wants of post-diagnostic supports for autistic adolescents. She is supervised by Associate Professor Iliana Magiati, Dr Diana Tan, Professor Laura Crane and Dr Chris Edwards. Her PhD research is supported by the Australian Government Research Training Program Domestic Fee Offset (2025-2029), the Australian Government Research Training Program Stipend (2025-2028), and is part of a large collaboration project funded by the UWA Research Collaborations Award (2022).
As an aspiring psychologist, Alison has had the privilege of working at The Kidd Clinic (private psychology clinic) as part of the Client Care Team, and for non-for-profit organisations such as Spectrum Space as a group facilitator and volunteer.
