Biography

Agnieszka Frydrych is an Associate Professor in Oral Medicine at the University of Western Australia holding academic postings with the University since 2005. She is a Registered Oral Medicine Specialist also working part-time in Private Practice as well as providing specialist clinical service at the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia. Agnieszka has been involved for many years in the teaching of dental students and mentoring of trainees in the specialist Oral Medicine program. She has a decade long association with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Board of Studies in Oral Medicine and also contributes to professional continuing education courses outside of the University. Agnieszka has coordinated numerous courses within the Faculty and has been nominated for six university teaching awards, winning the University of Western Australia 2005 Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Excellence in Teaching Award, the University of Western Australia 2005 Excellence in Teaching Award and the University of Western Australia 2017 Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award. Agnieszka’s research interests have focused on oral mucosal disease, including oral cancer.  She has published numerous peer reviewed publications in scientific journals and has authored chapters in various books.
