Personal profile

Biography

I completed my BSc (Zoology) at The University of Western Australia (UWA), during which time I developed an interest in behavioural ecology and evolutionary biology, particularly sexual selection. This eventually led me to obtain a MBiolSc (Zoology) at UWA, where I investigated the impacts of female mating-status on choosiness in the vinegar fly (Drosophila melanogaster). Now as a PhD student, my research will focus on the cowpea seed beetle (Callosobruchus maculatus).

Teaching overview

Units that I have been involved with:

The Darwinian Revolution [ANIM2001] (Semester 1 - 2025, 2026)

Ecology [ENVT2250] (Semester 1 - 2026)

Communicating Science [SCOM1101] (Semester 1 - 2025)

Evolutionary Ecology [ANIM5502] (Semester 2 - 2025)

I am also a tutor at the UWA School of Indigenous Studies (SIS) as a part of the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS)
