Biography

Claudio is a geologist and hydrogeologist from Chile with 15 years of professional experience working as consultant and regulator in both Chile and Australia. He graduated fom the Master of Hydrogeology at UWA and currently is pursuing his PhD studying the feedback mechanisms that control water quality evolution in surface-groundwater systems. He worked as Senior Hydrogeologist/Groundwater modeller in WSP - Golder and postgraduate student in CSIRO within the Reactive Transport Modelling group. Previously, he performed as Senior Hydrogeologist and Regional Head at the Maule Regional office of the Chilean Geological and Mining Survey (SERNAGEOMIN). Before this, he worked as Project Hydrogeologist in Arcadis Chile. His main interests are field hydrogeology, groundwater quality assessment, geochemical modelling, groundwater management through modelling and uncertainty quantification.
