Biography
Jaimee plays a pivotal role in supporting the next generation of nurses, providing comprehensive guidance, mentorship, and clinical supervision to nursing students during their regional placements across the Midwest and Pilbara regions. Jaimee's commitment to fostering student development includes facilitating their learning in diverse clinical environments, helping them navigate the unique challenges of rural and regional healthcare settings. Jaimee's role not only contributes to the students' practical knowledge and skills but also promotes the importance of culturally competent and community-focused care in these areas.
Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Jaimee is deeply engaged in academic and research activities that contribute to the broader nursing profession. She actively collaborates with colleagues and participates in research initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery, patient outcomes, and nursing practices. Jaimee is particularly passionate about the integration of evidence-based research into clinical practice, and she is dedicated to advancing nursing knowledge through both her clinical work and academic pursuits. Jaimee is currently pursuing a PhD through Curtin University and The Kids Research Institute Australia, implementing a mixed methods approach to evaluate the impact of health promotion programs on reducing the burden of ear disease in children.
