Biography

Dr Nicole Hill is a Forrest Foundation Prospect Fellow in youth suicide prevention with the Centre for Child Health Research, The University of Western Australia and honorary research associate with the Telethon Kids Institute. Nicole is an expert in the management and prevention of suicide clusters and suicide contagion. She has extensive experience working with suicide data in the national coronial information system. Nicole has led evaluations of community suicide prevention and postvention interventions in Australia. Her current project include the (1) identification of suicide hotspots; (2) improving access to mental health services in hotspot communities using data registries; (3) A multi-site trial to improve engagement in aftercare services for young people who present to the emergency department for deliberate self-harm; (4) Evaluation of a suicide prevention peer support program. 

Dr Hill is available for student supervision.
