Dr, Mr, Soil Science and Plant Nutrition
The University of Western Australia (M087), 35 Stirling Highway,
6009 Perth
Australia
In 2024, I completed my PhD in Agricultural Science at the University of Western Australia, where I explored the effects of black soldier fly larvae frass and biochar on soil biology, microbial composition, and crop growth. I then continued at UWA as a postdoctoral research associate in the School of Agriculture and Environment, where I work on a soil science challenge project focused on sustainable nutrient management.
My broader interests include nutrient cycling, soil carbon dynamics, plant–microbe interactions, and the transformation of organic wastes—such as frass, biosolids, dairy and food digestates—into high-efficiency soil amendments. I collaborate closely with industry partners, supervise master's students, and contribute to both field and teaching programs. Before starting at UWA, I worked as an agricultural science instructor, gaining hands-on teaching experience in agronomy and soil fertility management.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
