Isobel completed her PhD in 2024. Her research focused on investigating the use of black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) derived products as protein alternatives in aquaculture species.
This project works towards sustainably developing the aquaculture sector, primarily by reducing reliance on natural resources whilst securing future protein sources for our growing global population.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
