Dr Edi Nuryatno is a Health Informatician by profession (member of Australasian Institute of Digital Health), MIS Specialist & Researcher in the areas of informatics: Clinical Algorithms, Advanced Digital & ICT. His expertise includes in EA, Health Data Science, MedTech & Digital Heath, Urban & Public Health Informatics. It identifies science & practice around information in health that leads to informed & assisted health care & non-health agencies to anticipate the activities of the health sector. Graduated from Edith Cowan University WA with a PhD in MIS focusing on Human Mechanisms, he was a recipient of 2 Australian Scholarship Awards: ECUPRS-International & IPREP WA. Listed as COVID-19 Expert in MIS & Public Health Informatics by the Australian Academy of Science & a member of ANZ COVID-19 International Community. Registered as an Expert in Information & Communication Sciences (ICS) by the National Committee for Information & Communication Sciences (Australian Academy of Science). Active in international forums/engagements as invited speaker in webinars, public lectures, & to peer review publications. In mid 2021, he was appointed as a contributor in COVID-19 Education Video Campaign by the Department of Health – Western Australia. Dr Edi also a founding member of the Asia-Europe for Artificial Intelligence (AE4AI) Network. This network provided the university academics and senior administrators the opportunity to design innovative and actionable projects aligned with the three subtopics: AI Governance, AI in Education, and AI for Sustainable Development. Recently, he was honoured to receive an award from the UWA Medical School for his research in Health Informatics.
