Dr Goulios is the Clinical Director for the Master of Clinical Audiology program. Her areas of expertise include audiological assessment, adult and paediatric aural rehabilitation, hearing devices and management of audiological programs in special communities and in the workplace. She has a strong interest in promoting audiology education in developing countries.
She graduated with first class honours in Physiology from the University of Western Australia (1982) before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Audiology from Melbourne University (1983). Her career has included senior clinical and management positions with Australian Hearing in Perth, the National Acoustic Laboratories in Sydney, and with the Royal National Institute for the Deaf in London. Her involvement with the UWA Audiology Program began with the inception of the course in 2000 during which time she completed her PhD. She is committed to promoting audiology education and service delivery in developing countries, and provides voluntary services to projects in Asia and Africa.
Dr Goulios is the Clinical Director for the Master of Clinical Audiology program. She lectures in audiological assessment, adult and paediatric aural rehabiliation, hearing instruments, and management of audiological programs in special communities and in the workplace. She is a past Director and Deputy Chair of Audiology Australia, and a current Director of the Perth-based NGO HEARing AID East Java. Dr Goulios currently chairs the National Working Group for improving Hearing Services to Rural and Remote Australia.
