Dataset

Description

This dataset contains raw and processed data used to analyse surface water dynamics and persistent pools in Australia's non-perennial Gilbert River from 1986 to 2023. It is organised into two data sheets: 'IRM' and 'CONSOLIDATED'. 'IRM' contains raw, per-image ecohydrological metrics (e.g., n_pools, wet_area_km2) generated by the iRiverMetrics algorithm. 'CONSOLIDATED' contains a complete, imputed monthly time series (December 1986 – October 2023) of rainfall, river discharge, and spatial ecohydrological metrics, which is also aggregated into dynamic hydrological years with summaries of drivers and responses.
