Dataset

Description

This dataset contains inventory survey data acquired through airborne and UAV-borne imaging spectroscopy (i.e., atmospherically corrected reflectance data), as well as field inventory surveys (i.e., species abundance, trait values, and functional diversity) for plots across five Canadian sites. Spectral data is extracted for each plot and provided in a table with all pixel values per plot.

In addition, R code for data preprocessing and analysis is provided. The dataset and accompanying R code support the manuscript titled "Methodological considerations for studying spectral–plant diversity relationships", currently in press at Remote Sensing of Environment (Manuscript ID: RSE_114907).

For methodological details, please refer to the Methods section of the associated publication.

The data were collected as part of the Canadian Airborne Biodiversity Observatory (CABO; caboscience.org) and are shared under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license.
