This research, part of a wide ranging study of the health of Busselton residents, focussed on the health of secondary school students. The aim of the study was to provide an indication of adolescent health in Australia from which likely problems in adult life could be predicted. Of particular interest were aspects of obesity and fitness. Information was collected on height, weight, blood pressure, biochemical test results, fitness and sport participation. Other variables included analgesic use, cigarette smoking, dietary intake, and television watching.
