UWA study to test Perth drink fountains for lead

PUBLIC drinking water fountains across the metro area will be tested for lead and other contaminants as part of a major study by the University of WA.

The study will also incorporate testing of water in several big buildings.

Professor Anas Ghadouani, UWA’s program chair for environmental engineering, said the first phase of the study was about to start and would finish at the end of the year.
