Description

Penguin Island’s feathered residents are struggling to raise their chicks, with a scarcity of fish forcing some penguins to endure a two-week round trip to Cape Naturaliste and beyond in search of food.
Murdoch University scientist Belinda Cannell said satellite tagging showed some penguins were making much longer feeding migrations than usual, and that many failed to return safely.
