HIGH growth outer suburbs such as those between Butler and Two Rocks and the issues they face are on the agenda at a National Growth Areas Alliance conference this week. Held in Mindarie the two-day conference, which has as its theme Building the outer suburbs of the future, kicks off with an opening by City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts, who is also deputy chairwoman of the National Growth Areas Alliance. ational Growth Areas Alliance chairman Glenn Docherty, who is the City of Playford Mayor, will also deliver a message to the congress, which starts on Monday, November 14 and concludes the next day.

On the last day of the congress presenters include Moore MHR Ian Goodenough and Dr Kirsten Martinus and Assoc Prof Dr Paul Maginn both from the University of Western Australia who will talk about From Fugli-burbs to Attracta-burbs: Understanding the Social, Economic and Political Challenges-Opportunities for Outer-Suburbia.
