Description

A Fisheries report into the event stated the warm water passed through the Indonesian archipelago and became the driver of a stronger south-flowing leeuwin current to the south west.
During four months until March, WA sea surface temperatures reached up to 3C above normal, with local increases of 5C and included a 30C reading near Moore River, about 100km north of Perth, on February 27.
