    Much debate about Federal Government's repatriation plan for 60 women and children currently living in al-Roj detention camp in northeast Syria. 

    Will they pose security risks once returned to our shores?

    Or can they pose even greater risks, albeit down the track, if abandoned by our country?

    Prof Samina Yasmeen from UWA is the Director of the Centre for Muslim States and Societies and among Australia's foremost experts in deradicalisation.

    She argues leaving them adrift presents much greater risk to our nation.
