Powerpoint Presentation on What is a Good (Enough) Apology In this presentation I explored the role apologies can and could play in the resolution of disputes involving government agencies using recent case studies from governments in and around Australia.
Key themes of this session included the function and meaning of apologies, the framework for effective apologies and issues which can arise in practice, e.g. how to balance policy demands of acknowledging government mistakes or wrong doing with not making concessions in live legal matters.
