This submission is made on behalf of the UWA Centre for Health Law and Policy. It reflects the authors’ views on the questions posed by Queensland Health’s independent review of ‘Stage 1’ and ‘Stage 2’ hormone therapies in Queensland’s public paediatrics gender services. Our responses and recommendations are grounded in contemporary legal and human rights principles and draw on our collective expertise in health law, gender diversity and the law, regulatory theory, and public policy.
