Description
The Azure Peafowl Chinese Poetry Society (青孔雀诗识社) was established in 2019 (it has gained its name only in 2021, named by one of our lovely members, Mr. John Burgess). Every two weeks we gather, learn and discuss one or two poems (primarily Chinese poetry). its previous affiliation is the Saturday Poetry Class supported by the Conficius Institute of UWA and the Claremont Library and Community Hub. In 2016, I helped establish this poetry class and it's been maintained by volunteers teachers until 2019. In 2019 it became independant from the Confucius Institute and is maintain by the members and Ni Fan. The current members includes David Ambroise, Lai Meng Yep, Ian Locsei (YangQi), Kah-Lim Tay , Keisha Pallathil, Qing Qi, Amanda Allerding, NI Fan, Jasmine Xiao, and a few others.
