The network was formed in October 2023 by participants of the ASEF Higher Education Innovation Laboratory project series in Shanghai, China, and comprises 20 founding members who are academics and managers of higher education institutions.

The AE4AI Network launched with a Joint Statement of Founding Members, outlining key areas of focus and a commitment to peer-to-peer collaboration to address these areas. I am honored to be one of the 20 founding members of this network.
