We all struggle to feel connected and grounded to our world, not helped by digital distraction. Daniel explains how, through essaying, he organises his thoughts and has navigated difficult emotions – and you can too. Dr Daniel Juckes is a writer from Perth, Western Australia. He is a lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Western Australia, Associate Editor at Westerly Magazine, and holds a PhD in Creative in Writing from Curtin University, for which he was awarded a Chancellor’s Commendation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
