'No Moral Doubt' article as theatre source

Activity: Service and engagementCollaboration on community events

Description

Garlambirla Youth Theatre is using my 1996 article 'No Moral Doubt' as one of the primary resources for a performance around the Coutts Crossing massacre of 1847. Working with local Elders, settler descendants and local community, this intercultural theatre based in Coffs Harbour, NSW, aims to show respect to the 23 old people and their descendants. Some scenes will be performed in language, with the assistance of Muurrbay Aboriginal Language and Culture Cooperative. Possible names for the new show include Daam Miirlarl (Coutts Crossing) and Dawaalam (Kangaroo Creek) and it will be toured to Coffs Harbour, Nambucca, Grafton and Coutts Crossing.
