Facilitated artist residency at UWA School of Design with participating Gija artists Troy Drill, Jonathon Malgil, Dwayne Jessell and Lazarus Johnson from Warmun Art Centre in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. This is the first residency in a 3-year creative exchange program agreement between The University of Western Australia School of Design and Warmun Art Centre.
Each year, a student enrolled in Curatorial Studies, Fine Art or the History of Art at UWA will have the opportunity to complete an internship at Warmun Art Centre, while Gija artists from Warmun will undertake a residency on campus at UWA School of Design.
