When the world is not in a good state, of course it means we are in danger. This expression is as an assumption of the role of artists in voicing their sensitivity through highly reflective works. Then when discussing the theme of "Crisis", raised and presented to the artists exhibited at Jimba Art Hall in relation to Jimbafest 2024, in fact we are indeed being invited to reflect on the current situation in our own lives.

Jimbafest is a leading art and culture festival in Bali, initiated by Jimbaran Hijau, a rapidly developing mixed-use property developer in Bali. This area combines residential, hotel, and commercial facilities with creative spaces to meet the diverse needs of the international community. For more than a decade, Jimbafest has become a platform for uniting and engaging all elements of society who share the same values in terms of culture, art, and community, as well as having a commitment to preserving Bali’s sustainability.
When the world is not doing well, of course it means that we are in danger. This expression as an assumption of the role of Jimbafest also criticizes the increasingly worrying world situation. Jimbafest 2024 in the fine arts program section is indeed focusing on thinking about how to present a different cast of fine arts than usual.
Artists from Indonesia involved include Made Wianta, Made Bayak, Gilang Propagila, Jango Pramartha, Wayan Upadana, and ArkivVilmansa. From overseas, Australian artists such as Paul Trinidad, Jon Terry, Jeremy Blank, Antony Muia, and Vladimir Todorovic, as well as Stephan Spicher from Switzerland, also exhibited their works. One of the main attractions in this exhibition is the happening art in the form of burning chairs that contain symbolism to the global warming crisis and an appeal to policymakers on Saturday (27/10) afternoon.
ARTIST EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER "CRISIS" Anxiety about the current condition of Bali, which is being hit by a tsunami of investment, has made a number of artists call for concern. They also held an art exhibition "Crisis" involving 13 artists, taking place from October 26 to 27, 2024 at Jimbaran Hub, Jimbaran. The initiator of "Crisis," Putu Agung Prianta, Saturday (26/10) said that this exhibition will display the artists' in-depth interpretations of the problems and challenges that are currently facing Bali and the global situation. He admitted that he was concerned about the current condition of Bali because investment came in like a tsunami because it was so massive and caused negative effects on culture and customs.
Representing Australia in this exhibition I also contributed to three consecutive performances, burning the chair, drawing the novel and the large-scale drawing using embers and ash from the burning chair.
Jakarta - Jimbafest 2024 is a fine art exhibition with the theme 'Crisis' in order to criticize the increasingly worrying state of the world. A total of 13 works by artists from Indonesia and abroad will be exhibited at the Jimba Art Hall on October 26-November 26, 2024.
Denpasar: The art exhibition entitled 'Crisis' at Jimbafest 2024 criticizes multidimensional crises ranging from environmental, social, cultural, and humanitarian crises that occur on earth. Dr. Putu Agung Prianta as the Founder of Jimbafest in his statement in Denpasar, Tuesday said that this exhibition is an effort to see and observe the real reality, explore problems, respond to what happens, and present and present a review of the position of artists as a case study looking at various quality declines that have become a "crisis" of life on this earth.
