Description
In this one-day workshop, we aimed to cultivate conversation amongst (biological) artists, synthetic biologists, and science and technology studies researchers about what we can do together, particularly in terms of challenging categories related to ‘life’ that are troubled by our fields. We also had three additional goals:• Expanding networks for multi- or trans-disciplinary interactions
• Exploring potential starting points for future collaborations
• Sharing some preliminary findings from a fruitful art/synbio/STS collaboration amongst researchers at Symbiotica and the University of Edinburgh
