In this video diabetic amputees from the Kimberley in Western Australia share their experiences on how they learnt they had diabetes and how it has impacted their lives.
The video also features health professionals explaining what diabetes is and how people can prevent themselves getting diabetes. They also talk about the signs and symptoms, diagnosis, management of diabetes and ways people can prevent getting diabetes.
There is a community group who share their experiences as a diabetic and how they were diagnosed and how they manage their diabetes.
This video is a companion to Bran nue leg developed in 2013 by Goolarri Media.
