Dr. Kafle was born in Nepal, diverse and beautiful nation in the South-Asia. He received his BSc and MSc in Physics from the Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu where he received research grant from Ministry of Science (Nepal). He conducted post-graduate studies in astrophysics at the University of Sydney and received his PhD in 2013 with a thesis dissertation on the mass modeling of our own the Milky Way Galaxy. His finding about the lighter Milky Way, compare to what have been thought for decades, led him to the best PhD thesis in Physics 2013, University of Sydney and Postgraduate Excellence award by Australian Institute of Physics, NSW. He is currently a postdoc in Galaxy and Mass Assembly(GAMA) group in ICRAR(UWA). His major research interests are near field cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution.
